Clean Room Series: Weekly Clean- part 2

In part 1 we discussed how to deep clean your room, we got it to be perfect. I will be giving you a detailed step-by-step process for a weekly clean-up. Or as I like to call it a reset day (which i will be talking more about in a new blog post). Remember that you can do this in any order. Turn on your music and let's get cleaning!

Surprise: Cleaning Checklist PDF coming at the end of the series to match every part of the series!

1. Laundry

Take your dirty clothes and wash them. I suggest using a hamper to avoid a mess all over your room. As soon as you are done put your clothes away. Don't leave the basket in your room. This step is pretty simple.

2. Dust

Dust off your decor, desks, mirrors, keyboards, etc. Their are many benefits to dusting such as a healthier environment. Dusting regularly gives less opportunity for dust, germs, bacteria, and allergens to hide. and of course your space will look cleaner.

3. Change your sheets

I know some people do this every other week, like I do. It is recommended to clean your sheets every two weeks. Benefits of clean sheets are killing bacteria, removes germs, promotes comfort, and getting rid of dead skin cells. Changing your pillow cases helps with skin and hair. Don't forget to make your bed after.

4. Clean your floors

Sweep, swifter, vacuum, and mop ( mop every other week). I love having a clean floor, it looks nicer and feels better. if you have pets you might sweep more often and that's good.

5. Clean Mirrors

Mirrors can become very dirty and not only that but they end up looking dirty. clean mirrors allow you to see better, they shine brighter, and look nicer.

6. Straighten your drawers

Fold your clothes that way clothes aren't flowing out of your drawers. If you have a desk drawer it can sometimes become clutter after a long work week. So, make sure you reorganize it. Doing this every week allows you to avoid the deep clutter that you just cleaned in part 1.

Now that you have done your weekly clean it's time to reward yourself. Go watch a movie or read a book in your clean room.

On Thursday i will talk about a daily clean. a daily clean is a 15-20 minute clean up everyday. sometimes even 5 mins!

Have a good week!
