How to Plan Instagram Content: for when you're going on vacation

How do we stay consistent and productive with our social media platforms when we are going on vacation? We plan. Many people use the term "Batch making content." Before leaving on vacation dedicate time to creating enough content for the time that you will be gone. This will save you stress and keep your engagement up. I do recommend avoiding 'post and ghost'. do your best to reply to comments. Let's get into tip 1.

Tip #1: Develop a Plan

Think about the message you want to communicate to your community. What can you teach them? What can you share with them? Plan out what you want to post over the time that you will be on vacation. Jot down your ideas and strategy.

Tip #2: Graphics and Photos

Get creative! My favorite part of batch creating content is creating educational and fun graphics as well as taking photos to post. This process is time-consuming, I would recommend splitting the work across a couple of days. To create great graphics using premade/ editable templates use Canva. Once you've made enough imagery content for while you're gone it's time for the next step.

Tip #3: Captions

Now that you have your photos and graphics, write the captions and hashtags to go with them. Caption tips: write a hook, bring value, have a call to action (ex. questions), under 30 hashtags. Make sure your hashtags go with the post, your niche, and your message.

Tip #4: Plann That App

Scheduling your post is a top priority. The app Plann allows you to schedule posts, create a strategy, and write captions. This will be super helpful when you are on vacation all you'll have to do is press "copy & post" and you're done. It makes going on vacation much easier.

Tip #5: Reels

I recommend setting out different outfits, choosing audios, and planning the message. Film as many as you need for the time that you'll be gone. Save the reels to your drafts and write out the captions in drafts before posting. Reels bring great growth and increased productivity even while you are relaxing on vacation.

Tip #6: Stories

I wouldn't recommend pre-filming your stories. I prefer your stories to be a more personal and community-focused place. So if you can share bits of your vacation on there that is great. but if you don't want to go ahead and pre-make some things to share. Example: Tips.

If you follow these steps you will be having a productive Instagram platform while you are off taking a vacation. If you have any questions about content planning feel free to comment below. I hope you have a great day!
