5 Habits to be More Productive

No matter what your life looks like these 5 habits can be very useful. These habits will increase your efficiency and productivity. Everyone wants to be productive, most people have fallen in love with the idea of a productive lifestyle. So, if you are searching for ways to be productive you are in the right spot.


1. Create a Daily/Weekly To-Do List

It's important to have a daily list and weekly. If you are a student writing out your assignments for the week will help you to schedule what day they need to get done. The image is an example of my to-do list. Separating a to-do list into sections can keep you organized.


2. Having a Morning Routine that Focuses on You

You will drain your productivity if the first thing you do is check emails or scroll on your phone. Start your day off right. Eat a good breakfast, exercise, do a devotional, get ready for your day, etc. How you start your day is important and greatly impacts your mindset.


3. Create a System

Creating systems is a great way to help manage distractions. But this is a habit that takes time to form. If you are someone who checks their emails often or Instagram notifications often set a time to check those notifications. For example every day at 4 pm you check your emails. or every afternoon you check social media. This way you can spend less time being distracted.

4. Stop Multitasking

Stop trying to do 6 things at once! You can get things done more efficiently if you focus on one task at a time. Many believe that they are working faster because they are multitasking. But, research has shown that multitasking slows you down. so on high-level tasks don't multitask. the only time it is okay to multitask is when you're doing low-level tasks like chores.


5. Take Breaks

Just as your body needs rest after working out so does your brain. Avoid things like a screen when on a break. Instead, go on a walk and get some fresh air. Talking walks can boost productivity, according to a study by the University of Birmingham Employees who walked on their lunch break returned to work feeling more capable of handling their tasks.
