How to keep your purse organized

The Productive

Is your purse cluttered? Can you find things easily in your purse? Do you have loose items and trash? Is it unorganized? If you answered yes to any of these, it's ok. But let's change that. Our purse becomes a dump zone. It carries everything: wallet, phone, pens, books, tissues, etc. Our purses can become really unorganized and even though they have little pockets that are not enough. Here are some applicable tips to help you keep a clean purse.

#1 Cleanout

Before you begin cleaning out your purse. Dump out everything from your purse and lay everything out on a table. Sort the items out: for example money/recipts, beauty items, pens, and paper, gum, trash, etc. Make sure you don't keep items that don't need to be in your purse. you want to just keep the essentials that you need.

#2 Organize

Time to organize the items that belong in your purse. Although, we aren't going to put everything in your purse just yet. If your purse has pockets, great! But oftentimes those pockets aren't functional/big enough. Here is the solution. Makeup bags, these small bags will help tremendously. They will function as an organizational system. I recommend using no more than 2 bags, if you do use more than 2 it will just be a bag full of bags. Our goal is functionality not bags of clutter. Of course, you will still have your wallet, which will hold change, cash, cards, and receipts. Please make sure you keep those items in the wallet. One makeup bag will hold beauty products: medicine, tissues, perfume, makeup, hand sanitizer, gum, etc. The next one (which should be smaller) will hold pens, office stuff, and anything related to those items. Side note: keep your glasses in their case.

Tip: Keep your face mask in a plastic bag so it doesn't get other things on it.

If the pockets in your purse are big enough to replace the second bag then fantastic! utilize the pockets.

#3 Keep it Clean

The hardest part is keeping it organized and clean. So here are some tips:

1) Clean your purse at least once a month.

2) Through away the trash as soon as you get home.

3) put things back where they belong.

That's it! Once you create the organized system keeping it clean will be easy if you stick with it.

Go get started, dump out that purse, organize it, and be a boss! I wanted to do a blog post for all you amazing women, know that you are loved!
