Tips on Managing Stress

Many things can cause stress and sometimes it can be hard to manage it. Some of us don't even know where to begin with managing stress. But I'm here to help! I'll be listing things to help you manage your stress. and add your favorites into your routine.


1. Hobbies

After a busy day, it's nice to unwind and do something we enjoy. A hobby is a great way to go about managing stress. You don't have o spend hours on your hobbies. Spending 15-20mins can help lower stress. examples of some relaxing hobbies are;

- Reading

- Drawing

- Watching movies

- Going on walks

- Crossword puzzles


2. Open up about your problems to someone you trust

If you are feeling really stressed it could help to open up to someone you can trust. Such as a parent, guardian, pastor, therapist, or a good friend. You can also say some affirmations. such as the ones shown in the image.




3. Deep Breathing

A simple thing such as stopping to take 5 deep breathes as you feel your body relax can make a big difference. Do not underestimate taking some time away from your work.


4. Exercise

Moving your body can help manage your stress. Exercise has been known to boost people's moods, but you have to make it a habit. Create a routine and form a habit. Spend at least 10mins doing some form of exercise.
